For two years, Greg Kucera and Larry Yocom have brought the Ateliers des Arts du Noble Val (82) into the cloister. Gradually, and given the high musical quality linked to the proposed artists, the project has gained momentum to “make the Madeleine a place of musical excellence” (Simon Clark, head of the Ateliers des Arts du Noble Val). In addition, Le cloître has had the status of “Public Receiving Establishment” (ERP) since 2024.
On August 13, 2023, Solis trio inaugurated the concert series. In June 2024, MZ Duo, between clarinet and accordion, enchanted the public. Susan Bullock’s talent and delicacy also seduced, with an unusual repertoire for the world-famous singer, around Broadway and the music hall, in July. The apoteosis will have been for the Londoners of Five for Five, who filled the cloister in August with the sounds of their brass.
